A Drawing A Day 1193

Progress Shot 07

So, the mouth and chin are moved. The face has fallen apart somehow, as there’s nothing there to hold it together. Normally the construction would hold things together until light takes over (provided that’s the type of drawing you’re making – painterly, value based rather than sculptural, based on construction and volumes) and does the unifying effect. Because I have done a major construction shift amidst the process of the values taking over in holding the image together, now, it’s neither of the two that can do the job. Will have to keep things in mind until I can build up the values to take over. Hmmmm…but there is something else disrupting the unity here.
